Strategic Legal Fund

Last reviewed 2 hours ago
The Strategic Legal Fund for Vulnerable Young Migrants (SLF) is a fund to support legal work that goes beyond securing justice for an individual and makes a significant contribution to law, practice and procedures to uphold and promote the rights of vulnerable migrant children and young people more generally. It aims to tackle injustices and inconsistencies in law and practice that disadvantage or discriminate against vulnerable young migrants as a result of their migration status. They do this by making grants to organisations to: undertake pre-litigation research, ormake third party interventions to ensure that the key legal points are made in existing cases.
EPIM supports and strengthens NGOs active in migration and integration issues at the European level, promoting their advocacy capacities and supporting civil society in its role as a counterbalance to official institutions. Through calls for proposals, the EPIM enables national NGOs to bring their knowledge and best practices to the EU level. EPIM funded activities support effective partnerships and coalitions, assisting pan-European NGOs or projects to take advantage of knowledge transfer, networking and learning exchange opportunities.

Tesco Bags of Help COVID-19 Communities Fund

Last reviewed 2 hours ago
Tesco Bags of Help has set up a new short-term fund to support organisational need in this time of crisis. It will prioritise organisations whose need for services has been disrupted, who require to put in place new services, and those facing increased demand.
The John Lewis Partnership has launched a £1 million Community Support Fund to be distributed by Waitrose shops to local communities. Help could include setting up additional local delivery services to support the self-isolating, the vulnerable, the elderly and those looking after them; delivering boxes of staples to local care homes and community groups, and donating products to create care packages for customers to share with vulnerable neighbours.
