The Rowing Foundation

The Foundation gives grants to help organisations and clubs involved in on water elements of the sport of Rowing who are individually affiliated to British Rowing (other than via their governing body) and whose requirements may be too small or who may be otherwise ineligible for an approach to the National Lottery or other similar sources of funds. They favour giving grants for equipment that will be used on the water and exclusively for juniors and the disabled of all ages.

The Museums Association - Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund

The fund focuses on time-limited work on collections which has clear social benefit, outside the scope of an organisation’s core resources. Between 2017 and 2019, the Fund will award £3.5m to collections projects that demonstrate the inspiring and engaging potential of collections to deliver social impact for people and communities, innovating for the sector or at least for your organisation. They are looking for proposals to: work with an existing collection or collections to improve understanding of them and increase their use; and through that collections work, involve, inspire and have impact on people, communities and audiences. To be successful applications will need to: Engage local communities and/or those who aren’t typical museum attendees, and think about social impact and be developmental for the organisation or sector .

SCVO - Community Jobs Scotland

Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) is a Scottish Government funded programme which offers an exciting introduction to the third sector by creating a wide range of jobs for young people, aged 16 to 29 who are more disadvantaged in the labour market. All jobs created must offer at least 25 hours per week for 52 weeks. A fund of £10,000 is available for each completed CJS contract.

Cycling UK - Big Bike Revival

The Big Bike Revival is a program of local cycling and bike related events running through 2019. The aim is to get more people to gain the confidence to make local journeys by bike that replace trips typically made by motorised vehicles. They are looking for organisations to run a range of Big Bike Revival events and led cycle rides that engage locals during 2019. Small grants can help you deliver: opportunities to get bikes fixed, and learn about basic roadside repairs; events that showcase a range of bikes that meet different needs; cycle training to help people feel more confident to cycle on the road; led rides that help people find and use their local cycle paths and low traffic routes.
